From the beginning our spirit was to become fresh air in the world of galleries, a breath of Latin American art for the world.
In the midst of the endless options and the overstimulation of social media, we were baffled by the absence of Latin American art. Knowing its enormous potential, we decided to materialise this proposal to bring the best emerging art from our continent to the personal universe of many people.
Our focus is to offer an independent and alternative stage, where our continent could tell its stories through the work of artists we are now bringing together.
Blast Gallery was born like the work of its artists, dynamic, in constant expansion, resounding with the ubiquitous melody of a continent that inhabits all the works exhibited here, because each of the works on our platform is a living fragment of our culture.
Our aim is to make visible and promote emerging, original, contemporary art, from the personal universes of each one of the resident artists, who with diverse media and frenzied individual statements complete a frantic map of forms and cultural intersections.
We offer the world an avant-garde selection, with trade and unique imprints that only original pieces can offer.
We will exhibit an open approach to visual arts and traditional trades, mixed techniques where technology and ancestral culture unite their possibilities, giving new meaning to what we know as crafts until now.
We will present assertive curatorships promoting the work of our resident artists with all those riches and visions that we find in their art, introducing the enthusiast, the collector and all gallery visitors to deeper dimensions of their works, thus differentiating ourselves from the thousands of other proposals that fill the digital art market today.
BLAST GALLERY emerges together with its resident artists and guest curators as the expansive wave of a continent turned into art.
“Blast Gallery is a living bridge between talented Latin American artists and the world”
The founders of Blast Gallery, Andrea Larrain and Olga Kutz met while studying art history in Chile, sharing the drive and entrepreneurial spirit to expand the powerful universe of emerging Latin American Art.
They are part of this living bridge between cultures, between artistic expressions and lives.
Aware of the "empty space" between creators and their public, they decided to close the gap between the physical space of a traditional gallery and the virtual experience, connecting people from different cultures with young art from Latin America.
Their motivation has always been to make the most distinctive talents visible, rewriting the ways of promoting the art of their continent, creating with Blast Gallery the instance that brings together the most outstanding and diverse creators of Latin America, after an extensive curatorship of which they are especially proud.
Welcome to Blast Gallery, we look forward to continuing writing this story with you.
